We’ve been pretty quiet here on Chasing72 for a few months, sorry. We will do much better now that the Chasing 72 Chase is starting.
We have spent a lot of time sharpening up the Galati Grotto with new landscaping, paint, carpet, door knobs, bbq parts, shower tile, etc.. etc… Not to mention getting rid of all of our clutter and staging to make for good showings. We started fixing up the house in February and worked on it here and there for about 2 months. In that time, we had two garage sales, focusing on de-cluttering and clearing out the garage. We focused on getting rid of stuff that we won’t need in the RV while keeping the basic household stuff so that we could still live in the house and so that it still looked lived in for showings.
We interviewed several agents and decided to list with one, officially going “live” on March 31.
Our work has paid off as we are now in escrow and the buyers have removed inspection contingencies. We are set to close at the end of May. SCARY and a bit sad, but super excited for our new adventures! Now we have to get to the work of either selling or donating our furniture, remaining “professional” clothes, and kitchenware that won’t work in the RV.
On top of that we are getting Large Marge packed, using every ounce of space. And we are type A and need all the little things fixed up too. We will post more about Large Marge in the coming weeks.
